Welcome to the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) Ambassador website - the Talent Etc™ Initiative, where 23 local television and music stars are putting their weight behind the new SANBS campaign that seeks to encourage you to become regular a blood donor. SANBS hopes that as a South African, when you see your local heroes committing to giving blood that could save lives, you will consider doing so yourself. Our Ambassadors know the role they will play in creating awareness around blood donation and that they will assist in helping the organisation maintain a safe and sufficient blood supply. Our Celebrity Ambassadors will participate in public campaigns through the broadcast and print media, appear at local SANBS Donating Drives (visit our Appearance section to see where they will be actively involved next), media platforms and targeted public events, present talks to forums and feature in magazines and newspaper articles endorsing blood donation throughout the year. And you have the chance to meet them... On this website you will find all the information you might need if you are planning to become a regular blood donor. Algoa FM Bloodline Day – 15 July 2009 |
 | | On Wednesday, 15 July 2009 the Eastern Cape Zone of SANBS held the 12th annual Algoa FM Bloodline Day. Pick ‘n Pay sponsored over 800 doughnuts to each and every person who donated blood on this day in the province.

Kollenade Blood Drive - Jacaranda 94.2 Outside Broadcast |
 | | The SANBS Ambassadors supported the Kollonade Blood Drive which was held in conjunction with Jacaranda FM on Saturday 27 June 2009 at the Kollonade Shopping Centre in Pretoria. With their involvement in this Blood Drive the Kollonade Shopping Centre exceeded their targets for the day proving that the Ambassadors’ involvement can make a difference and therefore save lives.  | | We received the following feedback from SANBS Head Office regarding a recent SANBS Ambassador Donation Drive in Klerksdorp "We would like to share with you the involvement of the Ambassadors at the Goudkop NG Church Bazaar Bleed, Saturday the 6th June. The father of Gert van Schalkwyk (Egoli) is in the church and they agreed to come if there was a blood donor clinic at the bazaar. Lots of awareness were done on stage and they are very enthusiastic about this project" - Charmaine van Niekerk Head of Collections – Klerksdorp.
