Why am I a SANBS Ambassador?

"At first I was a bit hesitant to join the campaign, as I cannot donate blood myself. I thought it might be slightly hypocritical.. I do think it is an extremely important cause though...so I then reconsidered realised this could be my way of giving back, by motivating other people to donate their very precious blood on a regular basis, as you never know when one day you might need it...how can you expect to receive blood, if you were never willing to do so yourself."

Christel van den Bergh is a South-African actress currently known for her role as 'Lorraine Marx' in the kykNET Soap 'Villa Rosa', and 'Juliette' in the film 'Bakgat' as well as her portrayal for Ansie in the drama series 'Plek van die Vleisvreters' currently showing on SABC.  Her other television credits include, 7de Laan, Egoli, Gabriel, Generations, Laugh Out Loud, and she has most recently been casted as one of the leads in a new sitcom, 'Deeltitel Dames'. Christel has also played in various theater productions including the Farses, 2006 '....is die muis baas', and 2008/2009 'Knypie op die kant', directed by Pierre van Pletzen.  Christel has also appeared in various television commercials, and she is a registered voice-over artist on the voice bank and have done numerous voice-overs for both television and radio.
