Cordelia Masalethulini
Actress and SANBS Ambassador

Why am I a SANBS Ambassador?

"The main reason why I decided to work with SANBS is simple. I believe that we are here to help each other and to leave the world a little better than it was when we came. Knowledge is power. The main reason why people don't do half the stuff they would like to or help half the people they could, is because of a lack of information. Most of the people who give blood are white. Most of the people who use that blood are black. My mum, and my grandmother, both had their lives saved through some wonderful people who gave their blood more than twenty years ago. I would have grown up without a mother or a grandmother. For me, it is vital to get that information about the importance of giving blood, without out that blood, it is scary how many children will grow up orphaned."
