This is a marvelous campaign to raise awareness of how important blood donation is, and now finally we have the opportunity to do just that. Everyone wants to be a hero, and now everyone can be. Saving thousands, even millions in the end will make South Africa a better, safer country."

Better known for his role, Hein, in 7de Laan, Drama graduate Danie Putter has performed in various theatre productions such as Die dagboek van Anna Frank, Smokey Joes café, Straight Curl, Letsels, Mannekyn, Puppet Love, Huis op Horings, Life in the Fat Lane, Colour Atlas of Meat Inspection the as well as the acclaimed dance production, Black Percia, choreographed and directed by Pieter Human. Danie has also appeared in Egoli-Place of Gold as well as short films: Grenspos, Gamble, Rising Tide as well as an industrial theatre piece for the South African Paleoanthropology Association.
