| | Why am I a SANBS Ambassador? "The reality of the fact that I can help save a life is one of the primary reasons for being involved in the SANBS campaign. Being involved in this campaign I have learnt so much already and I feel its important to educate others as well as and thus saving lives. We all have the potential to be a hero to someone, what’s holding you back?" Ramey Short is a South African actor better known for his portrayal of Dr Quinton Meyer on MNET’s soap, Binnelanders. Originally a Sport Science and Marketing Management student at Stellenbosch, Ramey then went on to Hollywood, Los Angeles where he received drama training at the Vincent Chase Studio. Ramey also received drama training at ACT Studio in Cape Town as well as theatre training at the Playhouse Theatre in Somerset West. He played the character Louis in Shooting Stars on ETV. Commercials include Vodafone for Germany, Quinn Insurance for Ireland and Protein Feed for South Africa. As a versatile actor Ramey has also done various feature films including FIFA 2010 World Cup Soccer (Official Movie), MORE THAN JUST A GAME, where he played a leading character. Other movie credits include GLOBAL EFFECT featuring Arnold Vosloo.
