Shaun V has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the Music Industry since leaving the high profile Boy Band, Hi-5 and going solo in January 2006, notching up various accolades along the way, including winning “Best Male Newcomer of the Year” Award at the Crystal Awards in 2007.This talented vocalist has been in constant demand in various different genres within the music industry; with him making his musical theatre debut in the South African production of the international hit musical We Will Rock You where he was understudy to the lead Galileo. Great critical acclaim was then received for his portrayal of Roger in RENT. His dynamic stage presence ensured that he was asked to reprise his role in We Will Rock You with the SA cast on their 7-month tour of Asia in 2008. With Shaun’s impressive vocal versatility, being able to sing all styles of songs; from Led Zeppelin to Robbie Williams to Queen to Billy Joel and everything in between, he is a favourite front-line vocalist on the corporate event circuit, notching up many high profile events including Bidvest Rocks 2008, Vodacom CEO Awards 2008 and VW SA’s annual event, along the way. Shaun is currently working on his eagerly awaited solo album, whilst also exploring new entertainment industry opportunities, including television, voice over’s, commercials and jingles.
